Who's to judge?
Romans 2:1
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Do you remember the saying, "He who smelt it, dealt it"? I find this to be a great parallel to biblical truths. God says to deal with the plank in our own eye so you can see in order to help get the speck out of our brothers eyes. Why such the contrast in size? When we can come to the place of honestly assessing the huge issues we ourselves have and remove those from our lives, we open ourselves up to be able to gentle guide someone to see there own issues and help them overcome. Christ has called us to freedom, a freedom not realized on our own, a freedom only realized together. I love what my Pastor said this week, Look Up, HOOK UP, Keep Up. The hook up portion is so pivotal. Without the help of others we are hopelessly alone, lost in the dark, liable to be beat down.
I am thankful to God that I have friends who can encourage and believe in me to the point of inspiring me to deal honestly with issue I face in my own life and rise up to lead a generation which would be lost without my help. I have been help and thus I shall help others. Thank You Jesus.
Let's turn the burning fire of judgment to ourselves and purify our own lives.
